Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Brown copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with string
These are a few of my favorite things
It sure seems to me like a lot of good things are always "over the rainbow" or "just beyond the rainbow." That's what this is all about ... all that good "rainbow" kind of stuff.
Let's be honest . .. this is where I get to talk about all the stuff I love. And it's probably going to be more about MUSIC than anything else. Music & books are typically my two favorite things in this world (aside from my family).
Feel free to jump in and share with me! :)

So let's start with the BIG one. Rascal Flatts. I love them. They ARE my rainbow and more.
Carey & I wen to see them this past weekend and, let me tell you, it was an experience unlike ANY other before. Whether or not that was because of the location of our seats is up for grabs, but what does that matter? What matters is - it was an experience unlike any other.
The stage was set up with 3 catwalks coming off the main stage . . . which makes sense there are three guys. Me, being the Gary LeVox lover I am, ran STRAIGHT for the middle catwalk and was standing right at the tip of it. My entire night was spent right leaning up against the most center point of the stage. Gary spent probably 75% of his night there, at that point, directly in front of me. Aside from during M & Gs, I have NEVER been that close to any performer for that length of time. I was EXHAUSTED by the end of the show. Anyway, highlight of the show is a tie between the trio singing Rewind and Stand directly in front of us OR the guys singing Pharrell Williams' song (that every.single.person has heard a million times) "Happy" . . . actually, I could probably list many more highlights of the night because it was just a great night. Gloriana opened, and were a pleasant surprise. Sheryl Crow was next and, while I probably wouldn't have sought out tickets to see her, I'm very happy I was given that chance. I mean, it's SHERYL CROW, ya know, "All I wanna do is having some fun, I got a feeling I'm not the only one," or "IIIIIII wanna soak up the sunnnnn, I'm gonna tell everyone to lighten upppp, I'm gonna tell 'em that IIIIIIII got noone to blame ... for every time I feel lame I'm looking uppppp"
Anyway, if you've never seen Rascal Flatts live, I would HIGHLY suggest you do. They are amazing; entertaining, funny, and truly, truly talented.
